It is truly the ultimate ESCAPE at our brand new float center at New You Oasis in South Bend!
HOW IT WORKS
Floatation therapy is a unique type of hydrotherapy that simulates zero gravity by dissolving 800 to 1000 pounds of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) into approximately 200 hundred gallons of water in a small shallow pool 8-12 inches deep. Our room is a 6' x 8' luxurious and very spacious room to provide ultimate comfort! It is equipped with LED underlighting that is optional to the customer and both water and air temperature controlled. The room also has a vent in the ceiling that provides fresh air for the folks who might struggle with anxiety or panic attacks plus to assist with breathing if needed. All amenities needed to float are provided to all our customers so that way we can put your mind to rest and you can solely focus on floating and your relaxation needs!
BENEFITS
The deep mental relaxation initiated by floating allows the brain to produce a greater amount of theta waves, which are accompanied by an increase in mental clarity, creativity, imagery, and memory. In addition, the release of the endorphins induces the feeling of elevated mood states which are effective in helping alleviate anxiety, depression, and negative mental habits. There are also many other great benefits that come with floating such as improving your sleep, enhancing athletic performance, relieving physical pain, decreasing muscle tension. Prior To Your Float Session

For your safety, if you have any of these conditions, please consult your doctor and provide a note prior to floating. New You Oasis can and will refuse service, for your safety, without a sufficient doctor note.

Open or healing skin wounds, lesions, and any infectious or contagious disease.
​
Any communicable disease or disorder.
​
Persons who are diabetic and are insulin dependent.
​
Persons who are pregnant.
​
Persons with kidney disease.
​
Persons who experience discomfort in a warm, humid environment or from cutaneous exposure to concentrated magnesium sulfate water solution.
​
Persons who are not fully bowel and bladder continent.
​
Persons who have any condition which may be adversely affected by cutaneous absorption of magnesium.
​
Any infectious disease: skin rash, first 24 hours of could or UTI, open sores, athlete's foot, herpes.
​
Epileptic or on seizure medication.
​
On any other medications, other chemicals or alcohol.
​
History of high or low blood pressure.
​
History of heart problems.
​
Ear problems, may want to wear earplugs provided.
​
Skin sensitivity.
​
Any recent illnesses or injuries.
